    After having 6 previous financial advisers before being introduced to Vivid, via a friend whose accountant used them, I believed half the advisers were only interested in their margin and some others seemed OK but never appeared to be proactive, especially if their margin was to be reduced. I only had one guy I totally trusted, but unfortunately he too, was not proactive. Most advisers seemed slow at returning phone calls and were often hard to get at 'a moments notice'.

    Consequently, I joined Vivid in February 2008 amidst the turmoil at that time, after speaking to 3 current investors, who were chosen by, and initially kept in frequent contact with, Vivid, but then developed the confidence to 'leave them to it'. My personal experience has been positive, with prompt return of phone calls or other communication, frequent immediate access to the advisor (Mark) and access when I did call to 'the brains trust' (Santi).

    I also attended an 'Investors Update' presented by an outside colleague, which was professional and informative. My investments have been changed by Vivid due to changed market conditions, reflecting the proactivity I missed earlier.

    I would note that they do not choose a few managed funds then seem to forget about them, they use no managed funds! Overall, after a short period, under adverse market conditions, they retain my confidence, but I will say this, hopefully, with even more conviction in a few years time!
